Pete and Lynnie Howcroft 

Founding Directors

Pete and Lynnie Howcroft are the founding directors of Off The Ledge.
Happily married since 1983 (seems like only a few days -such is the love!) they have 3 adult children .
Lynnie has a successful interior design business in addition to assisting Pete with daily input into Off The Ledge.
Pete and Lynnie have a simple philosophy regarding business:
"Off The Ledge is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our most basic beliefs in a business model.
Our employees become part of a family that values treating each other with the utmost respect and dignity. We look to our employees to have input in decision making and to share responsibility in helping the company progress. This has an overflow effect onto our clients as our teams  genuinely want to represent Off The Ledge well as they are proud to belong to this company.

Joseph Howcroft  

Office Manager

Joey (son of Pete) started at Off The Ledge in 2002 as a rope access technician.  He worked his way up through the ranks as an abseiler gaining the respect of his workmates and customers and then he made the transition from rope worker to full time Office Manager in 2011! His day is spent monitoring different Off the Ledge work sites for safe work procedure and quality control. He is active daily in briefing and debriefing the work teams to ensure that each job is well documented for the next routine visit. He is also responsible for scheduling work each week.
Joe was recently married to the beautiful Zoe January 2011. Joe loves surfing,rugby,boxing and is a formidable opponent in texas holdem poker and 500!

Nancy Yao  

Accounts Manager

Nancy has been with Off The Ledge since 2007.
She has helped develop ever improving bookkeeping methods and has an outstanding accuracy in dealing with all our accounts.
Nancy has helped the rest of the management team become free to focus on their individual tasks and duties as She has single handedly made the accounting procedure trouble-free.
Nancy arrived from China in 2005 to learn English and settle in New Zealand.
She has won the respect of the entire Off The Ledge team with her quick wit and sense of humour, intelligence and kind and caring attitude.

Carl Skelton

Field Manager

Carl has been employed with Off The Ledge since 2001 as a rope access technician. He made the transition from rope worker to full time Field Manager in 2009 and he is loving it! His day is spent Quoting all Off The Ledge work, and dealing with health and safety management. He is also responsible for monitoring work training programmes and Off The Ledge Property and asset management.
Carl is very happily married to Jacci and they have two young boys.Carl loves fishing,cars and is a great artist.

Our awesome team of abseilers

All our employees are  handpicked and chosen on the basis of their personal integrity and great character.We value a persons character as the number one prerequisite in employment.
The complete work team and management will often gather together socially after work hours either: surfing,golfing,running,fishing,hunting and many other sports and hobbies.  We are forever organising work outings with surf or snowboarding missions ,fishing trips etc.
Numbers of our management team have started getting into open water swimming and so we have had great lunch breaks swimming new spots together, (beats sitting in the office watching u tube!) The team morale is always so high we have people wanting to join the company just to be part of the whanau!
Who said work was not meant to be fun!
